Curaçao & St, Maarten 5 Guilders 2023. Willemstad. Silver Proof

The same design as the Dutch coin but with a different face value. The one from the Netherlands says “5 EURO” while the Curaçao & St. Maarten version says “5 GULDEN.” Fitting since the latter two are semi-autonomous countries within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Since 1997, Willemstad’s historic districts have been UNESCO’s World Heritage sites for their cultural and historical value. The obverse of each shows King Willem-Alexander with the Queen Juliana Bridge in the background. The four stars are for the four countries in the Kingdom of the Netherlands: Curaçao, Aruba, St. Maarten and The Netherlands. The reverse has a city view with Curaçao’s four historic districts.
