In addition to circulation PP coins, the circulation series includes the following coins issued in 2023 Three types of circulation coins commemorative variants: National Ambulance Service 50 HUF: The thematic side features the international symbol of life-saving, the Cross of Constantine, replacing the usual Saker Falcon, which is complemented by the rod of Asclepius, depicting a snake coiled on a stick, which symbolises the healing aspect of medical arts. The arms of the Cross of Constantine, the star of life, represent the steps in the process of life-saving: recognition, emergency call, first aid, paramedic care, control during transport and hospital care. Beneath the central motif, the lettering ‘75 ÉVES AZ ORSZÁGOS MENTŐSZOLGÁLAT’ (75 years of the Hungarian National Ambulance Service) and the minting year ‘2023’ are seen. Inside the beaded border on the edge of the obverse, in the upper legend separated by a line the inscription ‘MAGYARORSZÁG’ (Hungary) is read.

2023 Hungarian Defence Forces 100 HUF: On the obverse, extending into the outer ring, the central motif features details from the logo of the Hungarian Defence Forces, a turul, a bird of prey, holding the sword of Stephen I of Hungary in its claws, and the shield of the Hungarian Defence Forces, with heraldic stripes indicating the national colours. The inner core of the coin bears the motto of the Hungarian Defence Forces: the inscription ‘A HAZÁÉRT’ (For country) is placed in the outer ring, inside the beaded border. In the upper legend, the lettering ‘MAGYARORSZÁG’ (Hungary) and the words ‘175 éves a MAGYAR HONVÉDSÉG’ (175 years of the Hungarian Defence Forces) are seen with the minting year ‘2023’.

2023 Petőfi 200 HUF: A collector version is issued for the first time in the history of the 200-forint circulation coins. The face value side of these special coins is identical to the denomination side of the 200-forint coin currently in circulation, but the thematic side features a modern rasterized representation of Sándor Petőfi’s portrait drawn by Miklós Barabás replacing the usual Chain Bridge design. Inside the beaded border, the lettering ‘MAGYARORSZÁG’ (Hungary) is shown in a legend at the top left with the minting year ‘2023’ appearing horizontally at the bottom right. Below, to the left of the portrait, is the official logo of the Sándor Petőfi- anniversary year, without the trademark. The face value side of the 50,100, and 200 forint coins is identical with the face value side of the coin of the same denomination currently in circulation.
