Netherlands €20 2017. 50th Birthday of King Willem Alexander. Gold Proof

 In honor of King Willem-Alexander’s fiftieth birthday, the Royal Dutch Mint struck  the first official commemorative coin of 2017: the Birthday Commemorative. Because this coin has a royal theme the denomination is different than a standard commemorative coin.  Under Dutch law, €50, €20, and silver €10 denominations can be used only for royal themes.  Willem Alexander is the first male to wear the Dutch crown since 1890.• Authorized by the Dutch Ministry of Finance
