Hungarian Money Museum and Visitor Centre
On March 15 the Hungarian National Bank opened a new Money Museum in Budapest and issued this 100 Forint circulation coin in commemoration. A few of the 2 million pieces were issued in a blister pack on the first day. The obverse depicts a part of the building that houses the museum. Above is a stylized representation of a chart, and four different coins from different eras in Hungarian coinage. The bimetallic coin (nickel-plated steel ring/copper-zinc plated steel core) weighs 8 grams and is 23.8 millimeters in diameter. |
