125th BIRTHDAY OF POET ÁRPÁD TÓTH (1886-1928) Árpád Tóth was an impressionist poet and translator who lived a life of nearly constant physical and financial hardship. Not surprisingly, he focussed on the pain and human tragedy that resulted from expectations of love and happiness. His critical writings were among the best at reflecting the literary developments of his times and he was also one of the best translators of the period. His translations include works of Milton, Wilde, Shelley, Keats, Baudelaire, Flaubert, Gautier, de Maupassant, and Chekhov. Designer: Márta Csikai.
