Issued on the 100th Anniversary of Hergé's birth

On the left side of the obverse is a self portrait of Hergé, oneHergé was one of the most famous Belgian comics writer and artist. To the right of the portrait, there is a portrait of his most famous character, Kuifje (Tintin).At the bottom is Hergé's signature.

The reverse is the standard Belgian commemorative con reverse showing a map of the European Union as of 2007. The word "Belgium" is written in the three official languages.
