The Orca, or “Killer Whale” is a monster of the seas, 25 feet long and up to 6 tons. Although it prefers cooler waters and therefore is not often found in tropical waters, this colossus is found in parts of every ocean.
Killer Whales are carnivorous animals and owe this name to their seemingly brutal hunting methods. Orcas are really far from aggressive and have a marked social behavior and a clearly structured hierarchy. Several forms of dialect have been noticed in their communication.
